Eliminate expiration date of sales
Emmanuel
Hi Jeronimo,
Thank you for your request on Liteflow regarding the expiration date associated with a listing/offer.
We could indeed make the expiration date an optional field to allow users to create listings or offers without having to set one.
For context, creating listings/offers without setting an expiration date is not a good practice to follow in the space as expiration dates are here to prevent long-running and forgotten listings/offers in order to protect the users (sellers/buyers).
What we would recommend is to incentivize users to set a proper expiration date based on their needs/strategy if the default value in not enough for them.
To provide you with more context around the expiration date implementation on Liteflow currently:
- When a user create a listing or and offer, the default value set in the expiration date field is 1 month (after 1 month, the listing/offer will expired and user will need to re-create it)
- This value can be changed freely and fully customize by the user who create the listing/offer (change date and time)
- The current maximum expiration date that can be set on listings and offers is 1 year. If set to 1 year, this means the user who created the listing/offer will have to create a new one only after 1 year
Based on those information, do you still think it is necessary to add an option to create listings/offers without expiration date or do you think actually a UX improvement on the expiration date field (to allow for example period selection like 1 month, 3 months, etc.) would be a better approach to take?

Emmanuel: I understand that it is better to have users attending their sales, but they don’t do so. In my opinion it is best to avoid ending the sale so that with marketing campaigns we can get more buyers even if the NFT was created a long time ago.
